The Bible teaches us of love and patience. It teaches us of all the amazing things a human can and should do to make a safe path into Christianity and for that matter, into Heaven. It’s a book that can give you power and will to stand up and go on after a hard fall, the book that will make you feel important and safe in God’s embrace and the book that will always be there for you, in good and bad, sickness and health.
Nowadays we are witnessing so much malice and hatred around the world and we people are the only ones responsible for it. We always want something more. We want more money, more power, more friends, more cars and while the greed for unnecessary things overwhelms us, we forget about our only saviour and only true friend, Jesus Christ. The Bible says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved“, but if you ask your friends when was the last time they spoke to God, they will most likely laugh at your face. Although we can’t understand the love our Lord is providing us with because we are mortals and perceive things differently, we have to always keep in mind that Christ is there for us and he’ll listen and help whenever we are ready to speak to him, and the Bible is the best way to do that.

Since the main goal of the Bible is to accurately convey the meaning of God’s words, providing a good, easy to read text is the best way to do it. There are many readers who are not familiar with the “Bible English” and that disadvantage is pulling them away from reading this amazing book. Besides, it seems that the NLT is more accurate since many of the bad renderings and misinterpretations of the old version have been corrected. This modern translation is trying very hard to make the English text informal, way more personal and warm and therefore make it more appealing for modern readers.
